Teacher of Physical Education (PE) job summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced enthusiastic teacher of PE to join our excellent PE department to teach across the age and ability range in this 11-18 school. The successful candidate would be joining a supportive, committed and experienced team who work hard to deliver innovative and enjoyable lessons and should have an interest in developing extra-curricular sport. You will assist and support the Team Leader for PE in further driving standards to ensure the progress is consistent across the key stages and for courses offered by PE to remain a popular option across the Key Stages.

The successful candidate will:

  • Understand the requirements for high quality teaching.

  • Be committed to the delivery of the department's extensive extra curricular programme

  • Be able to use ICT in all aspects of your work.

  • Have excellent administration skills and an ability to meet deadlines.

  • Have the ability to fulfil the requirements of a form tutor.

  • Have good interpersonal skills.

  • Be a positive team player with a strong commitment to professional development

  • Embrace new technologies and ideas that enhance learning

  • Have the ability to deal sensitively with pupils, parents and colleagues.

  • Be highly self-motivated
