Teacher of Physical Education job summary
Required for September 2021, we are seeking to appoint a full time, inspirational and talented teacher of Physical Education to join our vibrant, successful and expanding department. The post would particularly suit a candidate with specialism in some of the following activities - netball, dance, gymnastics, aerobics and football.
Results in PE are excellent at the end of key stage 4 and 5 and numbers opting for the subject are growing in both Key Stages. (In 2019 at GCSE 74% achieved 4+grades and 100% achieved 2+, at A level 71% achieved A*-C and 100% achieved A*-E)
It would be particularly advantageous to have an interest in teaching at least one of the following courses either now or in the near future;
- NCFE Level 3: Extended diploma in Sport and Physical Activity: Sports Coaching – This is similar to BTEC and equivalent to 3 A levels
- BTEC in Health and Social Care (Level 2 &/or 3)
- Key Stage 3 Science
