About You
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, lively, high motivated specialist and innovative thinker to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the academic, pastoral and social life of the school, to act as personal tutor and to take part in the school's programme of professional development.
We have a fantastic team of staff and you will be fully supported by an experienced faculty lead, who shares a vision of effective teaching and learning founded on collaborative planning, assessment and instruction, and who help each other to continually improve practice. We have an open-door culture and reflective ethos where we use lesson study to learn from each other all the time.

Skipton Girls’ High School is a high performing school located in the heart of Skipton, a vibrant market town in North Yorkshire, recently voted as one of the best places to live in the UK.
The school serves the local community within North Yorkshire and surrounding districts which cross into Lancashire and West Yorkshire.
The school is a successful 11-18 selective state school of 880 students recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted two times in succession. Whilst the school is selective on entry to Year 7, Post 16 is comprehensive with girls joining us from over 20 different secondary schools across the region.
The majority of the school is housed in traditional buildings, however, on the 3rd December 2015 we were delighted to open our exciting new £1.8 million STEM centre. The centre provides us with innovative learning spaces built around the concept of enquiry based learning.
