Teacher of Relationships and Sex Education job summary

Required for September 2021, the Littlehampton Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to specialise in the delivery of RSE. We understand that this may not have been your main teaching role up to now, as research suggests that, currently, only a very small proportion of teachers and educators have a role that is dedicated to RSE. The role will also require the delivery of literacy lessons at key stage 3. You will need to be a practitioner who consistently delivers high quality teaching, with a track record of positive results and outcomes. You will have the ability to inspire, engage and motivate students.

Commitment to safeguarding

The Littlehampton Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and, where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.

All successful applicants will be subject to a period of probation.

Schools are now required, as part of their shortlisting process, to carry out an online search as part of their due diligence.
