What skills and experience we're looking for
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Colne Community School and College for a Teacher of RE to join our Humanities Faculty.
Our school is a community in which we believe everyone, students and staff alike, should have the opportunity to be nourished and grow. Therefore, we are seeking to recruit a proactive and forward thinking member of staff to enrich the skills and experience already present in our Humanities Faculty. Our school community is expanding which makes this a particularly unique and exciting time to join our school. We have a new teaching block consisting of 8 new classrooms and 4 specialist Design and Technology rooms fully equipped. A further large scale internal refurbishment took place over the 2022/23 academic year which has further improved our school environment for all.

The position will suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Be fully qualified to teach through the secondary age range;
- To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in the school;
- Inspire trust and confidence in students and colleagues;
- Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school.

We're looking for you if you have:
- Teaching experience within the secondary sector;
- An excellent knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to use them effectively;
