Teacher of Religious Education job summary
An opportunity has arisen at Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form (KNGS) for an exceptional teacher of RE to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form on a permanent, part time basis. KNGS is an OFSTED outstanding school and is part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust with a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form. We are proud of our vibrant, socially and culturally diverse school, which lies in the heart of our community, and is highly regarded in our local area and beyond. The post is available on a part-time, permanent contract working 0.5 FTE from September 2025. ECT applications are welcomed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional teacher of RE to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form. We are an Ofsted outstanding school achieving excellent pastoral and academic outcomes for students within a culture of care, concern and well-being for both students and staff. The RE department comprises 2 specialist teachers and a well-supported, dedicated and highly experienced team who work together to achieve the best outcomes for our students.
The successful applicant will be an effective classroom practitioner, committed to improving learners’ experiences and attainment through working collaboratively and being willing to adopt new ideas. You will have the ability to teach KS3, KS4 (including core and GCSE) and KS5 RE, in return we offer excellent CPD within a supportive culture. We invest in the professional development of our staff so they meet their career potential, to take up opportunities in our school and in others. The school is very much committed to improving staff well-being. We also offer a cycle to work scheme.
