What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a knowledgeable, enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education. The ability to also teach Philosophy A level would be advantageous but is by no means essential. This is being advertised as a one year post but there would be flexibility in this for the right candidate.

Therefore, we are seeking a teacher of RE who will always aim to inspire and enthuse students through their teaching and is dedicated to bringing positive outcomes for all young people.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching as well as for their subject. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or experienced teachers who wish to take advantage of a new challenge.

You will:

  • be, or have the potential to become, an exceptional and innovative classroom practitioner;
  • be committed to working in a close, collaborative team environment within the History and RE Department;
  • be able to use a strong pedagogical understanding to successfully deliver the curriculum;
  • be enthusiastic about giving young people the best possible start in life.
