What skills and experience we're looking for

We seek to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Design and Technology who specialises in Graphics and/ or Resistant Materials, to join an experienced and friendly team. They will be passionate about the teaching of Design and Technology and be committed to developing their own practice to ensure students are able to attain the highest possible outcomes.

The successful candidate will be required to teach GCSE AQA and Key Stage 3 Design Technology. ECTs are welcome to apply and are exceptionally well supported at Brookfield.

Brookfield Community School is a large, forward-looking, 11-16 school and continues to enjoy a good reputation in the local community.The Art, Design and Technology department are well-established and highly successful team that offer a range of creative subjects for students in Key Stage 3 and 4.

The department is well resourced and has a suite of 4 well-equipped workshops and classrooms provide for creative and practical projects. These also accommodate 2 computer suites, over 30 laptops and a comprehensive range of machinery and equipment - from saws and drills, right up to laser cutting and 3D printers. We also have the budget to further invest in more CNC technology within the next year.
