At Chantry Academy, we are seeking a Teacher of Science who combines secure subject knowledge with the ability to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities. The role focuses on creating a purposeful, well-managed classroom environment, planning engaging lessons and using assessment to drive progress. Working closely with colleagues, this teacher will contribute to curriculum development and play an active part in the wider academy community, supported by a Trust that invests in professional growth and believes in the potential of every young person.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the academy curriculum and schemes of work
  • Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, using assessment to inform teaching and support outcomes
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils while promoting high expectations
  • Maintain a safe, well-managed learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
  • Contribute to the wider work of the academy, including collaboration, curriculum development and professional learning
