Taverham is an excellent, 11-18 school with a caring, positive ethos. The school was substantially redeveloped in 2007 and we became an academy in April 2013 and joined Enrich Learning Trust in February 2024. In May 2023, the school was recognised as ‘good’ in all categories by Ofsted and in the Summer of 2023 we achieved our best ever results, with our attainment in English and Maths among the highest in the county.
We seek to promote the development of students into resilient, independent young people, who are respectful and make a positive contribution to the wider community and beyond. We pride ourselves on the professional development we offer our staff.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic professional to join our successful and well-established Science department. The successful candidate will teach Science to KS3 and KS4 (GCSE, including Separate Science) and would be able to offer A-level teaching, preferably in Physics. If you have initiative, enthusiasm for learning, good educational qualifications and experience in working with young people, we would like to meet you. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching to KS5 and have confidence in teaching a broad range of ability.
Enrich Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils and expects all those working at the Trust to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020).
