What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a full or part time, committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a dedicated and well-resourced department with strong results at all levels. The successful candidate will be required to teach Science in KS3 and their specialist Science at KS4. The ability to teach a Science at KS5 would also be desirable. This role is suitable for an ECT.

We wish to appoint a colleague who:

The Piggott School Science Department:

  • red ALPS (2) for all GCSE sciences – 2025
  • achieved (100%) grade 5+ in all GCSE single sciences – 2025
  • achieved (93%) grade 4+ in GCSE science double award – 2025 (33% grade 9-7)
  • achieved (73%) A*-C in A Level Physics – 2025 (33% grade A*/A)
  • achieved (73%) A*-C in A Level Biology – 2025 (30% grade A*/A)
  • achieved (72%) A*-C in A Level Chemistry – 2025 (37% grade A*/A)
