We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and motivated Teacher Science to start with us in September 2025 on a permanent, part time basis. The successful candidate will possess a passion for their subject and the ability to enthuse and engage students.

This role is ideal for either an experienced teacher seeking a new opportunity or an ECT looking to start their career in a supportive and dedicated department. We have a hardworking and committed team of specialist teachers with a strong commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students. Our ECTs follow the DfE Early Career Framework, with each teacher having a subject mentor and an Induction Tutor.

The department is extremely well equipped, with a wide range of new laboratory equipment which facilitates a key department ethos: the understanding that effective practical activities play a fundamental role in the effective teaching of the sciences. Outside of the classroom, science students at Hampton Gardens are able to experience regular enrichment activities, including an active weekly STEM club which benefits from links with local businesses, as well as regular trips to universities and national science competitions.
