Teacher of Science job summary

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Teacher of  Science to join our successful Science Department on a full-time, permanent basis, starting in January 2027. This is an  excellent opportunity for an inspirational classroom practitioner who is passionate about  science education and committed to helping all students achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the science  curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering curiosity, engagement and a love of  learning within the subject. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will contribute to the  planning and delivery of an ambitious curriculum, monitor and support student progress,  and play a full role in the wider life of the department and school.

We are looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills  and high expectations for student achievement and behaviour. The successful candidate will  be committed to providing an inclusive learning environment, inspiring students to develop  confidence and enthusiasm for science while supporting them to achieve the best possible  outcomes.

Brockington is a successful and popular 11–16 school with approximately 1,200 students on roll, serving the communities of Enderby, Narborough, Huncote, Thurlaston, Croft and New Lubbesthorpe, alongside a wider catchment.
