Teacher of Science (£5k Golden Hello) job summary
The Howard School is seeking to appoint a member of staff to join our Science Department. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, talented, and passionate Teacher of Science, to start from 28th August 2025.
The Science Department is very generously resourced and offers the opportunity to teach KS5, including A-Level Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The department is very successful and held in high esteem by the Leadership group. Science is popular amongst the students and viewed positively by students and parents. Responsibility exists at Departmental, Pastoral or whole school level for the right candidate.
You will have excellent subject knowledge and be confident that students in your care will make exceptional progress. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a team which is forward-thinking and focused on doing the very best for every student.
This is a full time, permanent role, paid based on the STPC Main/Upper Teachers Pay Range (dependant on experience).
The school is offering a recruitment incentive which split into the following payments - £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service.
This post would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development.
