What skills and experience we're looking for
This post would suit either a new entrant to the profession or an experienced teacher. We would welcome a teacher returning to work after a career break and will consider part time or flexible working where possible.
The successful candidate will:
- Have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of students by exemplifying and promoting dedication to excellence
- Have high expectations of themselves and the ability to instil these in staff and students alike.
- Be an excellent teacher and a committed team player.
- Be invested in enabling student progress, whilst also developing the students holistically.
- Deliver innovative and creative lessons which engage and challenge students to achieve their full potential
Essential
- Strong subject knowledge in RE and Sociology, and a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
- Experience of delivering engaging and effective lessons in a secondary school setting
- Clarity of purpose and student-centred vision
- Understanding of the strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour
Desirable
- Evidence of contributing to writing and implementing relevant plans and resources
- Experience of teaching A level

An opportunity has arisen for you to join our highly focused, dedicated staff in the role of Teacher of Science. Teaching across key stages 3,4 and 5 we are looking for an excellent practitioner who can deliver innovative and creative lessons which challenge and engage students to progress academically and develop personally during their time at the academy.
