What skills and experience we're looking for

Our Science Department is a committed and professional team led by experienced, passionate practitioners and teachers with a variety of experiences. We aim to get the best out of our students and each other. As a team we take a proactive approach to our teaching and learning and professional development, sharing experiences and good practices.

We encourage our students to discover the scientific world around them from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 and are keen that students have an opportunity to extend their interest and enthusiasm by taking part in a range of extra-curricular activities such as clubs, visits and competitions.

Collaboration and CPL are of high importance within the Trust therefore a robust programme of training will be provided, particularly for areas where candidates have less experience.

Candidates should pay attention to the job description/person specification and explain within their application how they meet the criteria, whilst also describing what they will bring to the post from their own knowledge and experience.

Whilst this post holder will be predominantly based at Bluecoat Aspley Academy, they may be deployed across any of the academies within the Trust in accordance with the needs of the Trust as we grow and develop.
