About the Role

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the ability range, supporting students with diverse needs to make meaningful progress both academically and personally. You will work closely with colleagues, inclusion staff, and leaders to create a safe, supportive, and motivating learning environment.

You will be accountable to the Principal and play an active role in the wider life of the Academy.

Key Responsibilities


Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with agreed schemes of work

Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including students with SEN

Use assessment and feedback to support progress and set clear learning targets

Maintain accurate records of progress and report to parents in line with Academy policy

Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment that promotes learning and good behaviour

Embed digital learning where appropriate

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and technicians

Act as a form tutor and contribute to PSHE, assemblies, and cross-curricular activities

Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and equal opportunities at all times
