What skills and experience we're looking for
Would you like to make a difference to the outcomes and life chances of young people? If so, you could become part of our dedicated team. We are looking for a talented, inspirational and dynamic teacher to join our team of science specialists.
It is an exciting time to work with the Science team - we have many new curriculum developments, combined with a range of co-curricular opportunities and trips. This is resulting in large numbers of students choosing to study the triple sciences at GCSE, along with ever increasing numbers of students studying the 3 sciences at A level.
The Science department consists of 8 dedicated Science labs each of which is well equipped to deliver specialist teaching through to A Level. The Science team consists of 10 members of teaching staff covering biology, chemistry and physics specialisms. Three experienced Science Technicians work with the teaching staff to provide our students with as many practical opportunities as possible.
At KS3 a broad range of science topics are taught to provide the foundation knowledge required for success in the sciences. At GCSE we follow the AQA Triple Science and Trilogy Science courses. At A Level, Biology and Chemistry follow the OCR A specifications, Physics follows the AQA specification.
