Priory Community School - An Academy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our vibrant Science department. We are looking for a highly committed, positive, and skilled practitioner who will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4.
As part of this role, you will:
- Identify clear learning and teaching objectives and specify how they will be taught and assessed.
- Set tasks, including homework, that challenge students and ensure a high level of interest.
- Develop and enhance the teaching practice of teachers in the department.
- Establish and maintain a safe environment and purposeful working atmosphere that supports learning and in which students feel secure and confident.
- Maintain accreditation with examination bodies and stay ahead of national curriculum changes.
To be successful, you will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- A passion for Science across all 3 subjects and an ability to teach across a range of students of different ages and abilities.
- Relevant secondary teaching experience.
- A deep-rooted dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
