Trinity Academy is a vibrant community, with strong and fulfilling relationships between students and teachers arising from our Christian ethos. Combining a culture of care with deep passion for raising standards, we go the extra mile every day to transform outcomes for our 1,300 students, aged from 11 to 18. With a knowledge-rich curriculum and an evidence-based approach to teaching, we’re determined to release the full potential of everyone who studies or works here. Our achievements speak for themselves: whilst we serve an area of relatively high deprivation, former students have gone on to become world-class in their field. What’s more, our impressive facilities, extensive grounds and easy motorway links to Leeds, Sheffield and Hull make this the perfect place to build your future.
In order to further accelerate outcomes and continue to grow our talented staff team, we are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join our hardworking Science department from Easter or September 2022.
A visionary teacher, you will combine deep knowledge of your discipline with the ability to engage students from all backgrounds and create a lifelong love of learning.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join an academy with a culture of professional learning and reflection and one which works effectively with its community to bring about sustainable improvements.
The successful candidate will be:
Able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential
We can offer:
An academy and senior leadership team that will allow you to be inspirational, proactive and play an active part in our school improvement
Tailored CPD with a strong commitment on developing individual career paths
A Science department which welcomes new ideas with energy and enthusiasm
Closing Date for applications: 12noon, Friday 21 January 2022
We take our responsibility to safeguard children very seriously and successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check along with standard pre-employment safeguarding checks.
Commitment to safeguarding
Trinity Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. Where the post is engaged in regulated activity, and/or an opportunity for contact with children the position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. In addition, as part of the shortlisting process, and in accordance with statutory guidance, we may carry out an online search (for publicly available material) to help identify any incidents or issues that have happened which we may want to explore with shortlisted applicants at interview.
