What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Good honours degree in relevant subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status (or currently an ITT / GTP trainee)
  • Very good classroom practitioner
  • Detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium
  • Knowledge and experience of intervention strategies
  • Ability to put vision into practice
  • Ability to devise new resources for learning

Either:

  • Successful placement(s), teaching Art
    at KS3 & KS4 (applicants currently in training)

or:

  • Successful record of teaching Art including very good exam results at one or more of KS4 & KS5 (applicants who already have gained QTS)

Bruntcliffe Academy is an increasingly popular 11-16 comprehensive school with approximately 1400 students on roll. The school is situated in Morley which is on the outskirts of the thriving city of Leeds, with a very good motorway access to all areas of the north of England and beyond.


The school joined the highly successful GORSE Academies Trust which has a national reputation for its excellence in 2015.
