Teacher of Science job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Science, specialising in at least one science discipline at GCSE level, to join a dynamic and collaborative faculty.
Soham Village College is a splendid place to work. Our students are hardworking and ambitious, with a most recent progress 8 score of +0.75. Ofsted observed in their recent visit, in June 2024, that students ‘produce work of exceptional quality’, We are proud of our students, who are well-motivated and keen to learn. Ofsted recognised that our ‘pupils are extremely polite and respectful’ and their ‘behaviour is exemplary’.
There is a collaborative and supportive culture in the school and staff value highly the continuing professional development and research opportunities available. Ofsted noted that staff ‘have excellent subject knowledge’ and are 'proud to work at the school'. There are varied opportunities for career progression for staff at all levels and applications from ECTs are welcome.
This role is required from 1 September 2025
Salary range: £ 31,650 - £43,607 Salary is dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience.
