The Role
Uxbridge High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience and curriculum needs.
As a Science Teacher at Uxbridge High School, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and challenging science lessons that inspire curiosity, develop scientific thinking, and foster a love of learning in all students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and collaborative curriculum development.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to raising standards and outcomes. You should have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver outstanding science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high levels of achievement.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and the development of schemes of work.
- Engage with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student learning.
- Participate in school events, CPD, and staff meetings as part of the wider school community.
