What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our collaborative and supportive Science & ICT Departments from September 2023.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified professional who is both passionate and knowledgeable to work across our science and ICT departments at an exciting time in the school’s history.
What the school offers its staff
The science department has recently undertaken a multi-million pound refurbishment as part of the Department for Education’s Priority Schools Building Programme, while there has also been considerable investment to upgrade our ICT provision across the school. Both departments now have facilities which provide superb foundations for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across all of disciplines.
The school has been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in each of its last three inspections, most recently in January 2023: “Blue Coat Church of England Academy is an inclusive school where kindness flourishes. The school’s values include wisdom, service, endurance and hope. The school’s culture is rooted in these values. There are positive relationships between staff and pupils. Staff know their pupils well, and pupils feel cared for. Staff have high expectations, and pupils live up to these.”
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
