Teacher of Science - KS4 Physics Desirable job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a very successful and forward thinking Science Department within a high performing school. GCSE results in 2019 were amongst the highest in the city with over 95% of students achieving a grade 4 or above in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and 52% of our students achieving 4-4 or above in Combined Science. We always have strong science A level uptake with great success in the exams. In 2019, we enjoyed 100% pass rate in Biology and Physics and 88% pass rate in Chemistry. Applicants will have had experience of teaching across the ability range at KS3 and KS4 and must be passionate, well organised, and hardworking, with high expectations of students and colleagues. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to develop teaching resources and other assessment materials. An ability to teach GCSE Physics is highly desirable although not essential. Current trainees and ECTs are welcome to apply.
