About Mossley Hollins High School
Located in the town of Mossley, Greater Manchester, Mossley Hollins High School is a co-educational secondary school with around 800 pupils aged 11-16. This makes it smaller than the average school of its type, with an economically diverse student intake. Founded in the 1960s, the school has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, with the most recent buildings being opened in 2011. As part of the A+ Trust, the school works closely with a number of other institutions in the local area, to provide better outcome for its pupils, although Mossley Hollins is a community school rather than an academy.

Values and Vision
Mossley Hollins High School works hard to maintain high standards with regards to behaviour, work ethic and academic discipline. The school’s ethos states that manners, hard work and honesty are all important in order to achieve success. As a community school, Mossley Hollins High School is dedicated to ensuring that all pupils, regardless of background, have access to opportunities and experiences that will help them succeed in the real world. To this end, the school’s curriculum covers a wide range of subjects both academic and vocational, and the school works closely with post-16 education providers so that pupils have a clear idea of the options available to them after leaving school.
