What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Teacher of Science, with a specialism in Chemistry and/or Physics, to join our successful and supportive department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a committed team dedicated to delivering high-quality Science education and securing excellent outcomes for all students. You will play a key role in inspiring curiosity, developing scientific thinking, and fostering a love of learning through a well-planned and engaging curriculum.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven track record of strong outcomes in Science
  • Have secure subject knowledge, with a specialism in Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Be able to teach across the full age and ability range, including Key Stage 4
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging, and inclusive lessons
  • Be committed to evidence-informed practice and continual professional development
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, high-performing department
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and improve student progress
  • Have high expectations for all students, with a commitment to ensuring every learner succeeds
  • Be organised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectively
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with colleagues, students, and families
  • Share the school’s values and commitment to providing an excellent education for all students
