Sir John Nelthorpe School is a successful and popular 11-19 mixed comprehensive school with a rapidly growing roll (currently 775 students including 6th form).

It has a caring ethos and a long tradition of academic attainment.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and well-qualified Science teacher who will join a successful and supportive faculty to teach Science across key stages 3 and 4 and with the opportunity to teach at key stage 5.

This is a full-time post to start from September 2022. (An earlier start date may be available for the right candidate)

The post is suitable for experienced as well as newly and recently qualified teachers, including those who will have completed their training by September 1st 2022, with excellent induction and professional development programmes available at all levels.

It would be advantageous if candidates aspire to, or have experience of teaching A Levels, but this is not essential.

The successful candidate will have the skills and abilities to engage and enthuse different types of learners and to work productively as part of a team.

Our pupils are looking for a teacher with drive and creativity, but most importantly a passion for their subject.
