Teacher of Science job summary
Our small and friendly (11-16) community school welcomes applications for a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Science (mainscale) to teach across the age and ability range. We positively welcome applications from colleagues at all stages in their career.
The successful candidate will be required to teach Science across the age and ability range from September 2020.
Specialisms in Chemistry or Physics would be preferable, although we will consider all candidates with experience of teaching the full range of science subjects. While we are seeking a full time teacher, part time opportunities will be considered for the right candidate.
There will also be opportunities to teach in our partner school, Beacon Hill Community School in Aspatria.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our schools take safeguarding very seriously. The successful applicant will be required to hold or undergo a suitable enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service disclosure.
Short-listed candidates will be asked to complete a criminal record self-disclosure form to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered or protected. If your application is successful, this criminal record self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure & Barring Service before your appointment is confirmed.
In addition to the above, the school reserves the right to carry out an online search on short-listed candidates.
