St Joseph’s Catholic Academy
The Role
This is an additional role to our established and supportive Science Department due to increasing numbers of students joining St Joseph’s in Year 7.
Working within a dedicated and experienced team, this is an opportunity for either an experienced teacher to build upon past experience and skill to further develop a love of science among our students, or for an early career teacher to develop their craft within a supportive department and school.
There is also a pastoral element to this role and there will be pastoral activities to do with your assigned class, including PSHE and other whole school activities.
We are welcoming applications from all disciplines, however a bias towards physics would be an advantage to the development of the department.
Completed application forms should be submitted by email to recruitment@stjosephs.uk.net by 9am on Tuesday 16th April 2024. Emailed applications are required and CV’s will not be accepted. For enquiries regarding this role, please contact the School Business Manager vhenry@stjosephs.uk.net.
Interviews are to be held on Monday 22nd April 2024.
Electronic signatures will be accepted but candidates will be required to add a written signature to their application when circumstances allow.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of pre-employment checks. An online search will be completed for all shortlisted candidates.
Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust is an equal opportunities employer, welcoming applications from all sections of the community. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and we expect staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
