What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Science teacher to work within our team of staff providing education for vulnerable young people within the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of our Director of Learning. This will include teaching different groups of students, co-ordinating the curriculum and supporting with pastoral care. You will have a proven track record of exceptional practice across a key curriculum area with recent experience across at least two Key Stages. Experience within this type of provision is preferred but is not essential as training will be provided through our comprehensive professional development programme.
This is an exciting time to join the school as we continue to develop the curriculum and wider enrichment opportunities for our learners. The successful candidate will have opportunity to contribute to the Vision and Values of The Hub School as a valued member of a highly-skilled staff team.
The Headteacher and Governing Body are committed to the safety and well-being of our learners and an Enhanced DBS Check and other employment checks will be conducted on the preferred candidate prior to appointment.
We actively encourage pre-application tours.

At the Hub School we recognise that each student has their own strengths and talents and we aim to provide a personalised approach to learning wherever possible. We understand that some young people find aspects of mainstream education challenging and that some barriers to learning cannot be addressed without specialised support. We hope to provide the structure and support needed to allow each student to be successful and realise their full potential. The Hub School aims to provide an alternative approach to mainstream education which caters for individual needs. Through a broad curriculum, highly skilled staff and child-centred values, we provide a positive learning environment which promotes independence and achievement.
