Teacher of Science job summary
The highly successful, thriving and popular Science department is seeking a new Science teacher, specialising in either Chemistry or Physics, to join in September 2021 on a full time permanent basis.
The Science department runs smoothly and our students achieve well across Key stages 3 to 5. Our core purpose is to fully engage all our students and ignite their curiosity and determination so they can achieve their full potential. Staff benefit from a positive working environment with strong support for professional development and 3 specialist laboratories within a science area comprising 11 laboratories, fully equipped for high quality teaching and learning. We are further supported by technicians. We teach the AQA syllabus. We are a department of ten.
We welcome applications from creative and dynamic teachers who can contribute to this vision. The successful applicant will have proven experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Physics and Chemistry, and they will be someone who can inspire students. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers and NQTs at this popular and over-subscribed boys’ grammar school with mixed sixth form.
