Teacher of Science job summary
We have been open for 5 years, have a fabulous £10m building, £1.3m of specialist equipment and, already, have over 300 students. Our goal is simple: to ensure our students have the skills, qualifications and experience to go to university or to take-up skilled employment. We have a specialism in engineering, but we also cater for 14-19 age students with interests in Science, Computing and Mathematics.
The Science Department is well resourced and currently consists of one Physicist, a Chemist, two Biologists and a Science Technician. At Key Stage 4, all students study GCSE Chemistry and Physics, with the option to study GCSE Biology. This has been very successful, and Biology is one of the most popular student choices for GCSE, creating a very dedicated learning environment for our science students.
Applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced teachers. For NQTs, a comprehensive training support package will be available.
A TLR responsibility of £4,763 may be available for a colleague seeking a Year Lead role.
