Your role:
As a Teacher of Spanish at Queen Katharine Academy, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that follow the curriculum and schemes of work within the Academy. Your goal will be to foster a learning experience that allows students to achieve their full potential. You will also collaborate with other teachers in the preparation and development of teaching programmes, assessment methods, and pastoral arrangements.
You are a qualified teacher with a deep knowledge of Spanish. You can challenge the most able students, achieving high outcomes across all key stages. It is essential that you have experience in planning, designing, and delivering schemes of work according to national exam board specifications, as well as effectively using ICT in teaching. We also value the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel secure and motivated.
About us:
Our languages department is particularly vibrant, hosting a Eurovision event for Year 7 students, where they can showcase their linguistic talents. In Years 9 and 10, language leaders meet weekly during tutor time to develop their skills and mentor younger students. Additionally, students undertake a cross-curricular project in Key Stage 3, integrating language learning with other subjects to enhance their educational experience.
