What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Spanish or French or a closely related subject
  • Proven ability to teach Spanish across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and French to Key Stage 3
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
  • Experience of planning and delivering a differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of all learners
  • A clear understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements at KS3 and KS4 (including GCSE specifications)
  • Ability to use a range of teaching strategies to promote high expectations and excellent progress for all students
  • Experience of using assessment data to inform teaching and improve student outcomes
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and purposeful learning environment
  • Commitment to promoting high standards of literacy across the curriculum
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
