What the school offers its staff
As a school of choice within the local community, we are experiencing unprecedented growth in our student numbers. As a result, we are actively seeking passionate and dedicated teachers across all departments who will join our team who work hard to ensure that our students go on to lead remarkable lives. We have students from all walks of life and will give each of them, no matter how difficult their start, access to every walk of life.In terms of the broader school, we recognise that teaching and leading is a demanding career and it is our aim to make sure that staff who have chosen to join the profession are as well supported as they can be. We have a zero tolerance approach to anything that interrupts the learning in a classroom and our central team deals with all behaviour issues, non-completion of homework, phone-calls and detentions to make sure that teachers are as free as possible to do the three things that matter most: mark, plan and teach. You will not be covering colleague's lessons or lunchtime or gate duties and you will have dedicated PPA time each week. At Bexleyheath, we prioritise our staff's mental health and fiercely protect that work / life balance. Due to our approach, we have excellent staff retention rates. We are currently accepting applications for this maternity cover role teaching Spanish. We are looking for passionate teachers who really enjoy teaching. We warmly welcome visits to the school so you can see your relevant department in action and meet staff who you would be potentially working with from September.
