Teacher of Sport job summary
Teacher of Sport (FE / Vocational Sport Pathway)
Rockley College is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of Sport to join our sixth form education team. You will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Outdoors), supporting students through an engaging and vocational learning experience.
Delivered in partnership with LeAF Studio School, the programme combines academic study with hands-on sport and outdoor learning, work experience, and professional development. Our learners are motivated, practical, and focused on careers in sport, coaching, outdoor education or university pathways.
This role would suit someone with experience teaching vocational sport qualifications (e.g. NCFE, BTEC), ideally within an FE or sixth form setting. You’ll join a collaborative team led by the Curriculum Manager – Sport, and contribute to curriculum development, enrichment, and the wider student experience.
You’ll be based at our Rockley Point campus in Poole Harbour — a unique teaching location with access to high-quality facilities, enthusiastic learners, and a supportive working culture.
