Teacher of Textiles (Maternity Cover) job summary

Charters School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Textiles to join us in January 2027 to cover a maternity leave.

The ability to teach at least one other aspect of Design Technology (Food Technology, Graphic Products or Resistant materials) at KS3 is desirable.

ECTs and more experienced teachers are most welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will be:

Committed to promoting high-quality teaching of Textiles and Design Technology

Inspire students to have a passion for the subject and have high expectations of all students

An excellent classroom practitioner with an understanding of high-quality learning and ensure Textiles is a vibrant subject within the school community.

Experienced at Teaching Textiles to KS3 & KS4.
