Co-op Academy Rathbone is our newest special educational needs academy. Situated around 3 miles from Liverpool city centre, Co-op Academy Rathbone caters for children aged 5-11 with social, emotional and mental health needs and will be a beacon of best practice, providing exemplary care and education. This is an exciting time to come and join us.
We are now seeking a Teacher (or an experienced teacher to take on TLR responsibilities) who can demonstrate high expectations and ambition for themselves, our children, and their families; someone who will work alongside our excellent staff team to ensure that our amazing pupils get the best start, enabling them to thrive and make excellent educational and personal progress. There is no limit to our ambitions. You will see beyond ‘behaviour’ and appreciate the complex profile of our wonderful children, and what this means for day-to-day practice.
You may have experience of working in a SEND context, with children with complex needs. More importantly, we need people with a heart, patience and understanding, and the drive and determination to provide an excellent education to our children. The post will suit someone with energy and an endless drive and the ambition and creativity to make learning irresistible.
You will be supported, you will be challenged - you will receive ongoing training and receive an excellent grounding in SEND.
We will also be interested in Co-op Academies Trust primary teacher colleagues who would like to apply and be considered for an initial ‘one year’ secondment from September 2026. You will need the support of your Headteacher before applying. For a secondment arrangement, we would be looking for someone to hold a TLR2 for being a Curriculum and Pupil Development Leader.
The application deadline is 9am, Monday 8th June 2026. Interviews are planned to take place on the week commencing 15th June 2026. If you wish to apply, please complete the Trust application form outlining how you meet the person specification and why you feel you will be successful in this exciting post.
