We are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our dedicated and supportive team here at The Churchwood Primary Academy. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high quality teaching to our pupils in Year 1, to nurture, inspire and motivate our children.

The role will also have responsibility as the Middle Academy (Years 1-3) Phase Lead and applicants should have a proven track record of impacting upon practice in their current school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be accountable for high quality teaching that supports high levels of attainment in the middle academy setting and to support, hold accountable, develop and lead a team of people focusing on that area
  • Be able to support colleagues to deliver high quality sequences of learning through effective and inclusive teaching
  • Be responsible for the strategic direction and development of the learning and achievement within EYFS with the support of, and under the Principal and Senior Leadership Team
  • Be relentless in striving for excellence
  • Show initiative and enthusiasm
  • Be able to support other team members to become outstanding practitioners
  • Be able to hold others to account to ensure high standards
  • Be capable of working with children in an enthusiastic and positive manner
  • Maintain high standards of learning and pupil progress
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Have the desire to encourage every child to succeed

Churchwood Primary Academy

Churchwood Primary Academy is a one-form entry school situated in the picturesque setting of Church Wood in Hastings.

We pride ourselves on creating confident, independent, ambitious children. We do this through high-quality teaching and a firm belief in the benefits of Forest School, which encourages creative problem-solving and a bond with the natural world. We support and guide every child to achieve their very best.
