We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Prospect House Primary Specialist School
This is a permanent, full time role on Teaching terms offering MPS-UPS plus SEN allowance.
As our school continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and confident Teacher to strengthen teaching capacity across the school and contribute to the continued development of high-quality specialist practice.
About the role:This role offers an excellent opportunity for anexperienced teacher with a strong understanding of SEN to work in a highly specialist environment. The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting consistent, high-quality teaching and learning across the school as pupil numbers increase.
You will:
- Be a qualified teacher eligible to work in the UK
- Demonstrate strong classroom practice and the ability to work confidently in a specialist SEN setting
- Haveexperience of working with pupils with severe, profound and/or complex learning difficulties,including communication needs
- Be able to contribute positively to the wider work of the school, including supporting colleagues and promoting effective practice
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, families and professionals
- Experience in a special school or specialist provision ishighly desirable.
Main purpose of the job:As a Teacher at Prospect House, you will meet the Teachers’ Professional Standards and fulfil the professional responsibilities expected of all classroom teachers. You will be responsible for securing strong educational progress for pupils and contributing to the development of the school as it continues to expand.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to pupils’ individual needs
- Plan, teach and review lessons that meet the learning needs of all pupils
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to the development of teaching practice across the school
- Take an active role in the day-to-day life and ongoing development of the school
- Work effectively with internal and external professionals and agencies
- Contribute to self-evaluation and continuous improvement

Prospect House Primary School
Prospect House is a new free special primary school in Higher Blackley, North Manchester. The school is the first school in the Trust to be open north of the city offering places for children with very significant learning needs and other associated additional needs, aged 3 – 11 years old. The brand new purpose built site offers specialist facilities including a state-of-the-art hydropool including changing room to pool hoisting, ASC friendly classrooms and corridors, Food Technology Room, Library, Immersive Learning Room, Sensory Regulation Room, Parent Room, Pets as Therapy Dogs (Alfie and Ovie) and two KuneKune Pigs (Sebastian and Dolores).
