Teacher & SENDCo job summary
We are seeking to appoint a confident and professional SEND Lead and Class Teacher to join the Nigel Bowes Academy. We are a currently welcoming applications for an Assistant SENDCO/Class Teacher as well as Teaching and Learning Lead/Class Teacher. Please note that we are seeking to appoint one candidate to either role, but not both.
About this role
Do you have aspirations to become a SENDCO? Would you like a role that, upon successful induction, provides the opportunity to undertake the formal SENDCO qualification, followed with full responsibility for SEND and a TLR 3 payment? If so, we look forward to hearing from you.
In this role you will work directly with our Vice Principal (SENDCO), whilst completing your induction period, supporting SEND at our school and receiving on-the-job training and support. On successful completion of the induction period you will commence formal SENDCO training and assume the role of SENDCO at our school.
To excel in this role you will have experience of working with pupils with additional needs, either in mainstream or special settings, and have knowledge in the areas of SEMH, ASD, Attachment and Trauma, SpLD and therapeutic approaches in supporting young people.
