Shrewton C of E Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Primary School Teacher to join our friendly team from January 2027, teaching children in Years 3 and 4.

Situated in a small village, our school is proud of its strong community feel. We are looking for a teacher who will embrace school life, build positive relationships with our children and families, and bring energy, creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom.

About the role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach and inspire pupils in Years 3 and 4 and children across the school, providing engaging and inclusive learning opportunities.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that encourage curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.
  • Create a warm, positive and supportive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Recognise the individual strengths and needs of pupils and help every child to make good progress.
  • Assess and monitor children's learning and use this information effectively to inform future teaching.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents, carers and members of our local community.
  • Support and uphold the Christian ethos and values of our Church of England school.
  • Take an enthusiastic role in school activities, events and the wider opportunities we provide for our children.
