What skills and experience we're looking for

South Brent Primary School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic temporary class teacher to join our Year 1/2 team. This is a 0.4 FTE teaching commitment to be undertaken across two full days. This position is required as soon as possible for the remainder of the Spring Term, and continuing through the Summer term (31/08/2023).

Applicants will require strong organisational and communication skills and have a passion for teaching.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a great teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment.
  • Have a positive, proactive and creative approach to teaching with the ability to provide exciting learning opportunities for children.
  • Have a high expectation of children's learning and behaviour and a clear knowledge of progress and standards.
  • Have an active, innovative and determined approach to enable all children to achieve their very best.
  • Have the ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and a variety of multi-agency partners.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Thursday 23rd February 2023. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 8th March 2023.
