As a Special School, we believe what we offer to our children, community and staff is unique and enables us to be forward thinking in terms of curriculum, provision and budget planning. As a specialist school for children with a wide range of SEN needs we have a strong moral compass in everything we do and this has seen us develop and grow our number on roll (currently 123) and our specialisms which are predominant within Autism, Communication Needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
Our staff are our greatest asset and we invest in both our teaching and support staff CPD which has placed us in a good position with regards to current educational challenges.
Our Opportunity
Our school is growing and is very popular with parents and within the community. As a result we are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teacher to join our school and work with our children and support them to be the best they can be. As a school we follow a primary model with the class lead delivering the whole curriculum as opposed to subject specialists.
Working in our school is incredibly rewarding as we all work together as part of the team enriching the education of our pupils. Our staff are highly regarded and we pride ourselves on developing our teams to excel and develop their career through specialised training and career paths.
We encourage applications from candidates who have a passion for special education and wish to work in a setting which offers reward and challenge and where no two days are the same!
We are looking for:
• A skilled professional who has an engaging and dynamic style of teaching
• Someone who has the drive and ambition to make sure our children achieve their very best, and promotes
academic excellence
• A teacher with a flair and passion for special education who will embrace teaching and learning in our school.
We can offer you:
• A warm, happy school where we value everyone and have a philosophy of kindness and support for each other
• Happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children
• A school with exciting and attractive learning environments
• A leadership team who welcome fresh ideas and a sense of teamwork.
• A chance to make a difference to children who will love you being part of their day
The date of commencement for this post will be Tuesday 4 January 2022. Interviews will be held as soon as possible after the closing date.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
