Job summary
Greenhill Primary School Governors wish to recruit a teacher who feels they can make a difference to our very successful school for November 2021. The post is in Year 4 initially but in the longer term we are hoping to recruit someone keen to develop their expertise over the wider primary age range. We welcome applications from NQTs as well as experienced teachers.
The successful candidate will:
Have extremely high expectations of pupils' achievement
Have a track record of good or outstanding teaching or teaching practice
Have strong communication skills
Possess good subject knowledge relating to the National Curriculum
Have strengths in teaching the core skills in literacy and numeracy
Be keen to play a role in the wider life of the school

About Wakefield Greenhill Primary School
Wakefield Greenhill Primary is an average-sized primary school with approximately 250 pupils on roll. It is situated close to the city of Wakefield where there are high levels of social deprivation in the catchment area. The school has a long history of success with pupils achieving standards above the national expectation.
The percentage of pupils from minority ethnic backgrounds and with English as an additional language is well above average and there is an upward trend. The majority of these children are from a Pakistani background and there are an increasing number of children from Eastern Europe.
