Teacher job summary

As a part of our recovery strategy, we are looking to recruit one or two members of teaching staff to join our friendly and welcoming village school. Post 1: The first post is for a Year 4 teacher on a 0.6 role, teaching 5 mornings per week. (Estimated timings are 8:15 – 12:30 with a 30 minute unpaid break). The post holder will teach a group of approximately 18 Year 4 children. Post 2: We are also looking to appoint a Year 1 teacher on a 0.4 role teaching 5 afternoons per week. This is to cover non-contact time for our SENDCo. (Estimated timings are 1pm – 3:30pm). The post holder will teach a group of approximately 20 Year 1 children. We are very happy to combine the posts to make one full time role if we find the appropriate candidate. Please state in your application which post(s) you are applying for. As a small school with classes with mixed year groups, we are applying our recovery money into separating out into individual year groups for the morning sessions. Hence, the small group sizes. Both posts are on a fixed term contract for 1 year September 2021 to August 2022. Interview dates: 5th and 6th May 2021 Candidates will be asked to teach a small group of children in a COVID safe way in our school hall or, if they prefer, outside the building. The rest of the interview will be held virtually.
