Teacher - Year 1 job summary
We are looking for a Class Teacher to join our forward thinking and ambitious team.
We are looking for an innovative, dedicated teacher to plan and deliver high quality lessons while successfully nurturing and inspiring our children. As part of our warm and passionate team, you will work towards creating a provision that challenges, supports and nurtures our children. We are looking for someone who:
- A detailed knowledge of the National Curriculum and its means of delivery.
- High standards of communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work as part of and lead a team of experienced support staff.
- The ability to work towards deadlines.
- The ability to motivate both students and your peers.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Experience innovating to deliver the curriculum.
- Strong behavioural management strategies in line with the school ethos and vision.
If the successful candidate is not an early career teacher, they will also lead on a subject specialism across the school in order to raise standards to help take our diverse and exciting school into its next stage of development. This role will be class based and will require you to lead a specialised curriculum, complete and monitor SEN documentation alongside excellent support staff.

We are now looking to recruit a Class Teacher who is self-reflective, professional, and looking to further develop their skills, talents and use them to support the well-being and progress of our children. First and foremost, we are looking for a practitioner who has the passion and knowledge to raise standards of teaching and learning and make a difference for all of the children they teach regardless of their circumstances. The successful candidate will have a strong base of outstanding teaching practice.
