What skills and experience we're looking for

Due to a combination of maternity, seconded promotion and retirement, the Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint multiple teacher roles for the start of the next academic year. These vacancies could be in any year group across the school so we would welcome applications from ECTs and more experienced teachers.

We are looking for highly effective classroom practitioners who are keen to develop professionally, are creative and passionate about teaching with high expectations for themselves and our pupils, as well as being resilient, determined and prepared to work hard. In return we can provide excellent mentoring and support, a dedicated and experienced team to work within and a school community which is motivated, visionary and has a great sense of humour. We offer a friendly, caring working environment, with wonderful children.

If you enjoy working closely within a team of professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils, we would be delighted to hear from you. Visits to the school are encouraged and applicants are invited to visit the school by appointment. Please contact the school office on 01752 224801 to book a visit.

Please specify on your application your preferred key stage.

What the school offers its staff

This is an exciting time to join Lipson Vale Primary School. We have worked incredibly hard to develop a curriculum that is ambitious for our pupils and is linked tightly to our core vision, invested significantly in CPD on a Trauma Informed approach which underpins our ‘Relationships Policy’ and have been ensuring that all school development is research informed. On top of this, our efforts and drive for improvement were recognised in a ‘Good’ judgement from Ofsted (February 2022). We have been on a significant journey of school improvement over the last few years and have just begun our new 3 year strategic plan which seeks to embed all of our professional learning.

We believe passionately in developing leaders within education. We offer a bespoke coaching package to all leaders, including subject leaders, throughout the year which focuses on developing individuals as strategic leaders who can promote rich outcomes for all pupils through their actions.

Commitment to safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of the shortlisting process, the school will undertake an online search on applicants. A DBS disclosure is required for this post.

Lipson Vale Primary School is a very special place to learn. We believe passionately in being at the very heart of our community and ensuring that all teaching and learning meet the diverse needs of the community we serve. We are a popular school that accommodates 420 children from the Reception year through to Year 6. The school team, our wonderful pupils and our families have worked together closely over the last few years to redefine the direction of the school. As such, we decided on our guiding values and a new vision which we base all of our decision making on in school. We invest heavily in ensuring that our teaching teams are given the very best professional development which means that they can provide the very best teaching and learning in the classroom. The Lipson Vale team work incredibly hard to meet the individual needs of our learners every day and we pride ourselves on the pastoral care we offer, as well as our ‘relationship’ focused approach to supporting pupils through challenges that they face.
