This is a permanent, term time only, contract

Start date: September 2025

Hours: 22.25 hours per week (Monday-Friday mornings plus 2 afternoons)

Grade: 3 SCP 5-6 FTE £24,790 - £25,183 (subject to pay body review)

Building Strong Foundations for the Future

Earley St Peter’s Church of England Primary School are looking for a fun, energetic and committed team member to join their staffing team. You will be involved in supporting the learning and development of our children in both KS1 and 2.

Main purpose:

To work across the school to support the children or class in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures. You will be required to work as a classroom Teaching Assistant and a 1:1 Support, depending on where the needs of the school are.

Duties include:

  • Establishing positive relationships with pupils
  • Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
  • Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track
  • Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils’ work
  • Assisting with taking pupils on educational visits
  • Supervising pupils during lunchtime

General requirements:

  • Experience with, or a love of, working with young people
  • An awareness of commitment to equality
  • Basic understanding of health and safety
  • Understanding and implementing child protection procedures
  • Flexibility to work with individual pupils as directed by the class teacher
  • Able to build a positive rapport and exercise patience and consistency
  • Kind, caring and compassionate
